I visit great blogs and sites daily. Where i find great information I am looking for but I also see some little problems with their design which otherwise would have made it a professional looking design. Most of the time I find following common problems: 1. Incorrect or No Padding at all:image-here You can see there is no whitespace in the left side or at the top of the content which makes it difficult to read for online visitors. As it is proven again and again that it is always easier to read on the computer screen if there is plenty of white space around the text. When proper padding is applied to your content it is more appealing , more readable and more professional looking, like the above page after padding looks like: image-here We will update the above pictures with better examples so for now please do not mind low quality images! 2. Incorrect Alignment of One or More Elements on the Webpage:If any element at your website is not aligned correctly, whole design is not going to look professional, PERIOD! It is very important to have each element and part of your WebPages aligned correctly as per the needs and layout of that specific page. 3. Different Font Sizes and Font Faces:It is recommended to use no more than two font faces at any page. One for headlines and one for the body. So make sure you have not many many different kind of font faces and styles to make your design look less professional. Few tweaks to your CSS style sheet will fix this problem. Same applies to the font sizes you are using at your WebPages. Please make sure you are using standard font sizes for similar text styles and headings. More to come , stay tuned! |
